Preston Community Club Meeting Notes
July 11,2005 - started 7:05 PM and adjourned sometime around 9:15 PM
Agenda and action
- Amend PCC Bylaws: Those present went over the first draft of changes to up date Bylaws in an attempt to make them clearer and applicable to present issues.
- Meeting Schedule: We went over the dates of upcoming meetings along with a variety of locations to allow opportunity for others in the community to attend our meetings.
- Website: General discussion of how things are going and some ways it could have additional uses and benefits to all.
- Organizational Structure: Went over a new structure adding names of those already in board positions and adding as many names as possible to the chart. Elections will take place at the end of the year making all positions temporary until then.
- Preston Park update: It looks as if the community will need to come up with about 25K cash to help with our side of the Park project. there was discussion of how far we have come into negotiations with the county. Dariel Norris and Guy Bennet will continue to work with the project along with Bob King. Our projected goal is to start the project in March 2006 with finished park in Aug 2006. We will continue to keep the community informed on a regular basis.
- Racine property. Jan Lipitz did a Market analysis of the Racine property in the hopes that it may be obtained, It was agreed that Doug McClelland and Dariel Norris approach Bud about a possible sale.
- OPUS Development: Opus wants to place a Harley Davidson destination in one of their buildings. It is the feeling of those present that after reviewing the County Code of allowable uses in the area zoning it is not an allow able use. We expect the county to say no and we support any opposition to the Harley Davidson or any other motor vehicle use and or retail sales which are not allowed under the present codes.
- Garage sale: Dariel is to get in touch with Doris and Kurt Samulson re running our garage sale. We were all pleased that Tom Bernard was will to let us use one of spaces for this purpose.
- Talkingrain reclaimed water: Dariel will pursue code enforcement and investigation of where this water is going.
Meeting adjourned with an applause for Guy Bennet who did a great job.
Respectfully submitted by Dariel Norris, PCC Secretary
